Up with Trees deserves an updated database to maintain the 50,000 trees it cares for each year.

Up with Trees is a beloved non-profit organization unique to Tulsa that has gifted us with a fantastic urban forest over the last 50 years while working closely with the Department of Transportation to beautify our highways. It maintains 50,000 trees each year and continuously plants the best possible trees, educates Tulsans about which trees to plant and how, and donates trees.

With the spread of pests like the emerald ash borer and more extreme storms due to Climate Change, protecting our urban forest becomes more challenging. An updated database of trees will allow a better use of resources lowering the cost of maintenance.

When Up with Trees plants a single tree, it does more than beautify our community. It creates the air we breathe, takes pollutants from our skies, moderates extreme temperatures, and relieves stress. Trees are essential. Trees make our lives better.
