Community Guidelines: How We Build Together

Welcome to the experiment! Tulsa Decides is a space for every Tulsan to have a say in our collective future. To ensure this platform remains a productive tool for the Foundation for Real Economic Emancipation (FREE), we ask all participants to follow these three core pillars:

1. Be Solution-Oriented

We aren't just here to point out problems; we are here to fund solutions.

  • Do: Propose specific, actionable ideas (e.g., "Solar lights for Centennial Park").

  • Don't: Use proposals just to complain without offering a path forward.

2. Radical Respect

Economic emancipation requires listening to voices that are often ignored.

  • Respect the Person: Attack the idea, not the individual. Harassment, hate speech, and personal insults will be removed immediately.

  • Keep it Local: Focus on how we can improve Tulsa. National political debates are fine elsewhere, but here, we focus on our backyard.

3. One Person, One Voice

The integrity of our vote is our greatest asset.

  • No "Astroturfing": Don't create multiple accounts to upvote your own idea or drown out others.

  • Transparency: Use your public username to build a reputation for being a helpful community member.

How We Moderate

To keep the experiment running smoothly, the FREE team will:

  • Flag for Feasibility: We may add notes to proposals regarding their technical or legal feasibility.

  • Remove "Noise": Spam, commercial advertisements, or incoherent posts will be deleted.

  • Warning System: Users who violate these rules will receive one warning; repeat offenders will be blocked to protect the community’s work.
