Privacy Policy: Tulsa Decides (v1.0)
Effective Date: January 31, 2026
Administered by: The Foundation for Real Economic Emancipation (FREE)
At Tulsa Decides, we believe in Real Economic Emancipation, which starts with respecting your digital autonomy. Because this is an experimental platform, we have intentionally limited the data we collect to the bare essentials needed to run a fair process.
1. Information We Collect
We currently collect only two pieces of information:
Public Username: A name of your choosing that identifies your proposals and comments to other users.
Email Address: Manually entered by you to verify your account, send project updates, and ensure "one-person-one-vote" integrity.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information strictly for the following:
To allow you to log in and participate in the budgeting process.
To communicate important deadlines (e.g., "Voting starts tomorrow!").
To prevent bot activity and fraudulent voting.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to third parties or advertisers.
3. Public Visibility
Usernames: Your chosen username is public. Any proposal you submit or comment you leave will be attached to this name.
Emails: Your email address is private. It is never displayed to other users or the public.
4. Data Storage and Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect the small amount of data we hold. However, as this is an experimental platform (v1), we encourage you to use a unique password for this site.
5. Your Rights (Access and Deletion)
Since we are in the pilot phase, we want to make sure you feel in control. You may request to have your account and associated email deleted at any time by contacting us at [Insert Contact Email].
6. Updates to this Policy
As the Tulsa Decides experiment grows, we may need to collect additional information (like neighborhood or zip code) to better facilitate local budgeting. We will notify you via the email provided before any such changes take effect.
